The Discovery Land program is currently used in many churches and denominations around the world. The program was written at Alliance Church in Appleton, Wisconsin, which is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. Alliance Church in Appleton is still our home base and “kid lab” where we test out ideas and see the curriculum in action each week.
It really, truly is. We don’t want finances to stand in the way of churches having great discipleship resources for kids, so pay what you can afford! View our pricing here.

Yes! The Discovery Land program is being used with great success in churches of all sizes, from small village churches to very large churches. The Bible is the core, training is provided, and the materials used are classic stuff that kids have loved forever, making it effective just about anywhere!
We provide teaching tools that match the curriculum, like a really great Bible timeline and effective ways to share the Gospel. And because we are children’s ministry leaders ourselves, we also have a wealth of other ideas and resources to share, like training videos for volunteers and directors, live online sessions for training and encouragement, sample children’s ministry forms, and consulting!
We have large-group lessons geared toward lower elementary students and handbooks* for 3rd-6th grade students that link with the curriculum. We are working on developing additional resources in this area.
*The handbooks are available for additional purchase. Contact us at info@dlglobal.org if you are interested in learning more about this resource.
As a DLG member, you have the flexibility to choose the age groups that best suit your church's children's ministry needs. Curriculum for all age groups is always available on the member portal.
The Discovery Land curriculum is reviewed and updated quarterly, providing fresh and relevant content for your children's ministry.
Yes! We provide a weekly take-home paper for Elementary and Preschool. These take-home resources encourage continued discipleship at home and equip parents to have spiritual conversations with their kids. You can find a sample of the elementary resource here and the preschool resource here. These resources are even completely customizable online!
Our curriculum is designed to be accessible for a variety of church contexts. All resources are downloadable. The curriculum is available in both PDF and Word formats. You will need the ability to print classroom materials and either print curriculum for your volunteers or send it to them electronically.
You will also need Discover Time supplies such as LEGO® bricks, Play-Doh, and art supplies. Our DLG team is available to coach you through the implementation process and the purchasing of supplies.
We do not provide videos of the Bible lessons. Instead, we encourage person-to-person discipleship and hands-on activities during the limited time we have with kids on Sunday mornings. We believe this provides the best opportunity for growth for both leaders and kids.
We do, however, provide several videos for training purposes, including Bible lesson and Discover Time demonstration videos.
