In addition to the typical Discover Time station options (water, sand, Play-Doh, LEGO bricks, food, art, etc…) we also provide a 15-minute Mission Lesson each quarter. There are two versions of this lesson – elementary and preschool – and this lesson is designed to be used as a replacement for a Discover Time activity one week in the quarter. The Mission Lesson can be found in the appendix of the quarterly curriculum.
These Mission Lessons typically focus on a specific country/region, a specific missionary, or a specific project or missions-related topic. They engage kids in the Great Commission in an age-appropriate and engaging way!
Through these Mission Lessons, kids…

We always keep these lessons current, writing in “real-time” (just a few months before we send you the curriculum), so that kids can witness how God is actively working around the world.

Note about Alliance Kids Mission Content: In addition to the quarterly DLG Mission Lesson, Christian and Missionary Alliance churches signed up for Discovery Land through Alliance Kids receive access to weekly missions videos. These short (3-5 minute) videos are designed to be played during the Pre-Service Review Game and Worship portion of the morning. The videos sometimes complement the quarterly DLG Mission Lesson, but are sometimes about a C&MA-specific topic or project. You can find these videos on the Director’s Dashboard (on the Alliance Kids website).
