The Pre-Service Review Game is the very first thing kids encounter when they come to Discovery Land. It is a high-energy, interactive group game designed to review previous lessons, Top 12 Bible verses, and other biblical topics. This brings structure to what can be a chaotic time as students are arriving. It is also one of the few times parents see child discipleship in action. Rather than seeing chaos, this demonstrates that this is a time of learning and discipleship.
Suggested games and instructions can be found in the appendix of each quarter of curriculum. For elementary students, the game is typically competitive. For preschool children, the game is typically collaborative.
Director Tip: Everything can be adapted! Use materials you already have and adapt them to work for the game! Churches using Discovery Land around the world implement the Pre-Service Review Game successfully. We recommend finding a few volunteers in your church community who love to build things, and ask them to be your Pre-Service Review Game building team!
